Discover The Isles of Scilly

Amelie Rose and AJ off St AgnesSail West beyond Lands End to the glorious Isles of Scilly. Clear blue waters, white sandy beaches, stunning anchorages and incredible semi-tropical plants & wildlife abound, all basking in the warmth of the gulf stream and the summer sun.

This is always one of the high-points of our year and is an opportunity not to be missed what better way can there be to visit Scilly than aboard a Scillonian Pilot Cutter?

Our usual itinerary sees us visiting not only the inhabited islands of St Marys, Tresco, Bryher, St Martins and St Agnes but also takes in some wildlife spotting down amoungst the jagged Western Rocks and occasionally a restful night in the Eastern Isles around Great Ganilly.

Check out the dates of our scheduled visits to the Scilly below, then click "Find out more >" to find out more!

Discover The Channel Islands

Amelie Rose anchored off SarkJust 60 miles South of the Solent the Channel Islands have a little of everything; stunning scenery, ports packed with history, secluded anchorages and some of the best sailing in the English Channel.

We love to tour the islands, visiting some of our favourite spots; from intriguing Alderney to the hustle and bustle of St Peter Port on Guernsey and not forgetting the wonderful little island world of Sark a land that time seems to have passed by.

Discover North Brittany

Amelie Rose in St Malo

From flat sandy beaches to tall craggy granite shorelines the North Coast of France has always got some new interesting view just around the corner. Pretty anchorages nestle between busy harbour towns and everywhere we go Amelie Rose is welcomed with open arms.

One other thing marks out this fabulous cruising ground - the Bretons really know how to put on a great festival. There's generally at least one big one running each year and they are an experience not to missed. At the heart of their excellence lies the organisers view that the boats and crews are the stars of the show and so we are always treated royally, with fantastic Breton food and drink often laid on for free.

This year we're off to Paimpol for the Festival du Chant de Marin (Sea Shanty Festival) which is our favourite of all. Big enough that there's always something to do but compact enough that it doesn't overwhelm. There's tons of music and events on offer and the setting, right in the heart of this picturesque Bretton town, means that there are plenty of cafes and restaurants from which to enjoy the ambience whilst sipping a chilled glass of Breton Cidre.

Discover Cornwall & Devon

Anchored up the Fal

Along the Jurassic Coast from our native Hampshire lies one of our favourite mainland cruising areas; the South Coast of Devon and Cornwall.

This creased and folded coastline hides gems like Dartmouth and Fowey from view behind twisted river entrances whilst elsewhere safe haven is wrestled from the sea by the granite defenses of harbours like Mevagissy or Mousehole.

The varied nature of the coastline and the myriad of places to explore makes every trip past Start Point a pleasure. Wildlife abounds here too; with sightings of Whales, Dolphins, Sunfish and Basking Sharks all listed in Amelie Rose's logbooks for the area.

Discover The Solent & Dorset Coast

A quient night at anchor in Newtown CreekFrom the beginnings of the Jurassic Coastline and Weymouth in the West to frenzy of yachting that is the Solent to the East our home waters pack a massive amount into a relatively small space.

Bustling harbours like Yarmouth and Cowes compete with quieter backwaters like Beaulieu, Bembridge and the beautiful Newtown Creek to attract the flocks of yachts that inhabit our home waters during the Summer.

We love it best in the Spring and Autumn when the crowds haven't yet arrived; or have headed for home, then Amelie Rose can get her stove going in a quiet anchorage without smoking out the neighbours.
