Join 0900 Friday 27th, leave approx 1600 on Monday 30th.
This is the first big event of the season, join us for a long weekend of spectacular racing in company with a bunch of fabulous Pilot Cutters at Yarmouth IOW. No experience is required just turn up and have a great time!
 
Join the crew of the Amelie Rose on the morning of the 27th April as we set out on this Pilot Cutter extravaganza. We'll use the voyage to Yarmouth to teach you what you need to know about sailing a Pilot Cutter before mooring up together with the other cutters in this picturesque harbour. There'll be plenty of boats there making for a wonderful sight as they dress overall with flags and giving you the chance to look around these historic craft. Over the weekend there'll be two days of races for us to test our mettle against the other cutters with the prize giving on Sunday night at the Royal Solent Yacht Club. You won't need bulging muscles or a degree in yacht racing to enjoy yourself, just an appreciation for the finer things in life! This fantastic event is growing every year so come along and join in the fun.

Meet up with the rest of the crew at 0900 on Friday 27th April and after a quick safety briefing we'll head off toward Yarmouth. We'll show you how to hoist and set Amelie Rose's sails and then practice some manoeuvres to get you used to racing her. After lunch afloat a little more sailing practice will soon see us at Yarmouth where we'll moor up with the other cutters. The Royal Solent Yacht Club are hosting us for the weekend so there'll be drinks and food available there and lots of chances to look around the other boats and share your experiences with the other crews.
 
On Saturday there'll be a couple of races where we'll get to play with the other cutters and then it'll be back to Yarmouth and the Yacht Club. Sunday will bring another day of racing in the Solent and then a prize-giving at the yacht-club in the evening. On Monday we'll have a gentle cruise back to Poole where we should be disembarking by 1600. The price includes your berth, all food and soft drinks consumed aboard, the loan of wet weather and safety gear, fuel, berthing fees and qualified skipper to show you the ropes and keep you safe.
